Day 01: Arrival in Beijing Our guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area at Beijing Airport and transfer you to hotel. The rest of the day is free.
Day 02: Beijing Visit the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. The Beijing Duck Dinner is served at a famous restaurant followed by a lively Peking Opera performance. - Forbidden City - In the Forbidden City, empresss bedroom lies in the Palace of Earthly Tranquility, named Kunninggong in Chinese. It was built in 1420 during the reign of the Emperor Yongle of Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). In 1655, the Emperor Shunzhi of Qing ordered people to rebuild it. The four rooms at the western end of the palace were intended for worship the Shamanism and the two rooms at the eastern end were used as the bridal chamber for emperors. The Emperors Kangxi, Tongzhi and Guangxu both got married there.(B,L,D)
Day 03: Beijing Visit the Great Wall. A spicy Sichuan cuisine lunch is served at a notable restaurant to recruit your physical energy. Visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb in the afternoon. On the way back to downtown, drive by the Birds Nest (Olympic National Stadium). You will see its appearance at a distance. (B,L)
Day 04: Beijing - Jinan Visit the Summer Palace. Take a flight to Jinan and transfer to hotel. Visit the Baotu Spring and the Black Tiger Spring. - Summer Palace - a largest and best preserved royal garden in the world. The whole garden mainly consists of the Longevity Hill and the Kunming Lake. The Long Corridor, seven hundred twenty-eight meters (796.2 yards) in length, boasts as the longest corridor in Chinese gardens. Beginning from the Yaoyue (Inviting-Moon) Gate and ending up with Shizhang Pavilion, the corridor ingeniously links Longevity Hill with Kunming Lake. You might appreciate the exquisite murals and enjoy the melodious music while walking along there.(B,L)
Day 05: Jinan - Qufu Drive to Qufu and transfer to the hotel. Full day Confucius culture tour covers the Confucius Mansion, the Confucius Temple and the Confucius Forest. - Confucius Temple - a largest and most important Confucius temple in China. It has 460 rooms with the total area of 16,000 square meters. It has served as a sacred place for sacrifice offering to Confucius in the past 2,500 years. It was originally built in 478 BC in honor of Confucius and the restoration and renovation in later times turned it into the present scale and style. It is the historical complex second only to the Forbidden City in area and design.(B,L)
Day 06: Qufu - Taian - Jinan Drive to Taian. Visit the Mt. Tai by cable car and the Daimao Temple. Transfer back to Jinan and check in at the hotel again. Tips: It is very important to drink more water and have some fresh fruits during the trip. Shandong cuisine is a bit strong in flavor, people are used to adding salt and soy sauce while cooking. If you prefer light diet, please let us know in advance or tell your guide before the meal. When you have seafood there, please go to the reliable restaurant. You may ask your guide for some advice. When climbing the mountain, you should wear the comfortable flattie and the warm clothes, because it is pretty cold on the summit of the mountain. (B,L)
Day 07: Jinan - Shanghai Take a flight to Shanghai and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon is free. Tips: Some of you may have had enough of Chinese food and then want to have some western food as a break. You may feel excited when you land in Shanghai since western food is very popular and easy to be found here, especially in the Bund area and the famous Nanjing Road, from the fast food KFC, Macdonald, Pizza Hut to some finest western-style cafes and restaurants. You will feel dazzling while wandering in the street and then experience that Shanghai is really a paradise not only for shopping, but a delicious food city. For more details, you may ask for your guides suggestions.
Day 08: Shanghai Visit the Shanghai Museum and the Yuyuan Garden. after lunch we will transfer you to the Bund area, where you will take a cruise tour on the Huangpu River. The cruise will start at 14:00, reach the Wusongkou pier and then get back to the Bund at 17:00. Then leave you some free time to explore the Bund area on your own.Tonight a memorable a la carte dinner is served. The dinner will be followed by the Portman Acrobatic Show. - Shanghai Museum - In the Gallery of Chinese Ancient Porcelain and Ceramic Wares, there exhibits various kinds of porcelain and ceramic wares, such as painted and grey wares of the Neolithic Age, primitive celadon of the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period and mature celadon of the Eastern Han Dynasty. Besides, the three-color glazed pottery wares of the Tang Dynasty are also displayed there.(B,L,D)
Day 09: Shanghai - Suzhou Take a soft seat train to Suzhou and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Humble Administrators Garden, the Garden of the Master of the Nets and the Tiger Hill. Tips: After having dinner on your own, you could enjoy yourselves at the hotel by going to the fitness center for relaxation. Your intense muscle can be put at ease. It is also our suggestion that you might as well visit the Garden of the Master of the Nets again in the evening, because the night garden is open to visitors from 19: 30 to 22: 00 from Mar 15 to Nov 20 each year, when some characteristic shows are on in different halls like the Kunqu Opera, Koto, flute playing. The admission fee is CNY80.00 net per person. - Humble Administrators Garden - the largest and most distinguished one among all of the gardens. Covering an area of 4 hectares in northeast Suzhou, it is a typical example of the art of horticulture in southern part of Yangtze River. The scenery of the garden mainly focuses on a central pond with various buildings like pavilions, terraces, chambers and towers locating by the water or on hillocks in a natural, unsophisticated, and appropriate composition. Day 10: Suzhou - Shanghai - Guilin Drive to Shanghai airport. Take a flight to Guilin and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Reed Flute Cave. - Reed Flute Cave - its name is derived from Ludi Cao (reed grass), which grows in front of the cave and is used to make flutes. As the grass covered the entrance of the cave, people of the area used this cave for many centuries as a hideout in times of war. The cave is really a natural wonder with an overwhelming abundance of speleothem and stalactite.(B,L)
Day 11: Guilin - Longsheng - Guilin Drive to Longsheng. Visit the Longji Terraced Fields, the Villages of Zhuang Minority People and Yao Minority People and the Suspension Bridge in small size. Transfer back to Guilin.(B,L,D)
Day 12: Guilin - Yangshuo Enduring memories are created today as you cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo. Transfer to the hotel upon arrival at Yangshuo. A short bicycle trip to the countryside will then be arranged. You will visit a local villagers home to experience the farmers lifestyle there. Alternatively, you can take our electric car instead of taking bicycles. Tips: Since the lunch on the Li River cruise can not meet your expectation, we suggest that you have enough breakfast at the hotel today. - Li River - Pagoda Hill is a small hill with a hexagonal pagoda on its top. The hexagonal pagoda is called the Longevity Buddha Pagoda that can be dated back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). In late fall, the hill is illuminated with red leaves. Many tourists are attracted by its unique shape of warship and the beautiful reflection of hill in Li River.(B,L)
Day 13: Yangshuo We intend to leave the day free. You can find a tiny and enigmatic world with the breathtaking scenery and have a pot of tea in a sidewalk cafe feeling totally relaxed. You can rent a bicycle to visit the Moon Hill and the Big Banian Tree. Tips: The natural scenery makes Yangshuo an alluring resort. It attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists each year. The nightlife spent on your own in the West Street is a continuation of the daytime pleasure. The West Street is teemed with the exotic flavor, because many foreigners came here to make their romantic living. It is a really global village as the first foreigner street in China. The street abounds with the pubs and bars, souvenir shops, the hostels and the restaurants. You never feel lonely here. (B)
Day 14: Yangshuo - Guilin - Guangzhou Transfer back to Guilin. Visit the Elephant Trunk Hill and the Fubo Hill. Take a flight to Guangzhou and transfer to the hotel. Descriptions: Elephant Trunk Hill - The Elephant Trunk Hill is a national scenic spot with a level of 4A. Its located on the Binjiang Road, Guilin City, just at the junction of the Peach Flower River and the Li River. Dating from the Tang and Song dynasties, it has been a very famous attraction.(B,L)
Day 15: Guangzhou - Hong Kong Visit Dr. Sun Yatsens Memorial Hall, the Five-Ram Statue, Chen Family Temple, the Qingping Market and the Shamian Island. Take an express train to Hong Kong. Upon arrival, please go to the hotel we have booked for you by yourselves. Descriptions: Hong Kong - The culture of Hong Kong was born in a sophisticated fusion of the east and the west. On one hand, it keeps many Chinese traditions; on the other hand, it has experienced a baptism of western culture. This situation led to the diversity of Hong Kongs culture.(B,L)
Day 16: Hong Kong The hotel accommodation with breakfast is reserved today. You are suggested to have a half-day Hong Kong Island Tour. Peak tram ride to mid-level of Central District then to the Victoria Peak, visit the Repulse Bay, Aberdeen and Stanley Market on your own. Tips: Hongkong is a shopping paradise endowed with glamour. Transportation is convenient here since most people can speak English and signposts in English are everywhere to be found. Most people prefer to visit Hong Kong during the Christmas to feel the festival atmosphere. Please book the ticket and hotel a little bit earlier, since all are in great demand at that time.(B)
Day 17: Departure from Hong Kong You will get to the airport to board your homeward flight by yourselves. (B)
